![]() Mahapurusha Srimanta Shankardeva was a saint-scholar, a spiritual leader, a social reformer, playwright and a very prominent figure in the cultural and religious history of Assam. ![]() When Assam was going through this tough phase,Srimanta sankardeva appeared on the scene. There were religious conflicts and chaos all around. As a result of this, many poor economically backward classes of people became victims of these horrendous practices.
